The falling snow outside was nearly an ideal backdrop for Marlon Gobel‘s fall/winter 2013. Which was themed on a post apocalyptic world that Mr. Gobel had concocted. The models in the show the survivors and the clothes they wore were what got them through the apocalypse. Certainly not the first time this theme has been explored, but quite likely the first time is has been explored with this interpretation.
As was the case with his collection in the fall, Marlon played around a lot with textures and textiles. The fabric of the jacket in the photo below was very interesting. As were his versions of quilted jackets. But what the two stand out pieces as far as I am concerned were the neoprene bomber jacket and the cable knit jacket; especially the latter. But you can come to your own conclusions.
