A little over a month ago Black Lapel invited me to hang out during their f/w 2016 photo shoot; which was to start in Manhattan and venture over into parts of Brooklyn. I’ve been following and working with the brand nearly since their inception so I thought it a good opportunity to see what they have in store for the coming season. Even though make no mistake, we are still in the heat of summer; I for one haven’t starting thinking about fall and winter clothes yet.

So you will see a few elements of that reflected in some of the scenery, such as the Barclays Center. That theme is carried a bit in the collection, primarily with the windowpane fabrics you will see, the blue windowpane on blue flannel perhaps being my favorite fabric from the collection. Although the burgundy tux, which can also be made as a suit, is also quite strong.
