Tasseled Ankles

Tasseled Ankles

I was yet again browsing through Tommy Ton’s photos from Pitti Uomo  and out of the 174 photos I kept wanting to see one of them again and again (Tommy Ton is one of the most renowned street photographers, he is great at focusing on accessories and details in his photographs.  Pitti Uomo is perhaps the largest menswear convention in the world).  I call the photo Tasseled Ankles.  The shoes are a simple 2-eyelet blucher and the pants a simple navy with blue pinstripe.  The attention to details of the man in the photo are what I really like about the photo and of what he is wearing.  The military grade shine on the toe of the shoes is of note and cannot be ignored.  The two inch cuffs on the pants is old school and badass.  The no break fit of the pants is great, especially since it highlights the lack of socks and great shoes.  But my favorite thing is the laces that end in tassels.  They are so so SO awesome.  I remember seeing some of these when I was in Europe, I loved them then and I love them now.  However, they can only be worn with certain shoes, like the ones pictured.  A possible future acquisition, yes.
